Economic facts.:
Costa Concordia cost 870 million dollars to built and before its sinking was the second biggest cruiseship in the world. For its salvage the insurance company must pay 610 million dollars to the respective companies attempting the salvage.500 people will be working for 19 months for salvaging and trasporting the vessel to the dismantling port if everything goes as planned. The 1400+ metric tons of steel scrap from the vessel is worth 49,3 million dollars and the owner company is thinking about repairing it other than scrap it.
P.S. The crash of Costa Concordia is goin to be writen in history as the worst fuckup by a captain ever , because at least the captain of the Titanic was rushing through a very hostile uncharted terain and not the calm milleniums old charted Mediterannian sea.
