Yes it is a pre-built. I was looking into the SCTE 2.0 kit, but I'm not looking to put $1000 into an RC car. I mostly just bash out in the yard. There is an indoor track near my house and I've gone there a few times. It's just club level racing even though there are a few guys there who are somewhat elitists, but I've seen them race and they have some really nice RC's but can't drive them for shit. I plan on trying this out in a race once I've tested it on the track.
For an RTR it is very well built. Aluminum chassis, aluminum shock towers, steel drive shafts, aluminum big bore shocks, etc. was well worth the money.
