Well it finally gave up the ghost, and instead of a quoted $750 repair bill, I just. Went ahead and ordered a new system.
Hope to have if here for faction challenge, but I'm not confident of that dangit!
Sorry for absense.

Good hardware choices. The only reason I'd mock you over them is if you paid too much.

Not cheap parts and usually can be found on sale.
Its not far off of what we put in my wife's computer or Wolf put in his.
Latest computer in my house:
Intel Core i5 4670k (the next lower overclockable processor for your 4770k)
GTX 770 2GB
8GB of RAM

I probably did overpay for them since I am having it built rather than screwing it up myself.
In real life...I can mess with life and death and blood and guts with no problems, but
electronics are
scary though....
Despite the new computer Im sure the biggest news....
and the bit that will shock poor Tomman... is that I
FINALLY bought a second headset so I don't have to interrupt my wife on her Warcraft Raids.

Brother either you`re a doctor or in desparate need of one!!!!
Nice PC though.I`m sure you`ll enjoy that i7 , i know i am after all these years i own it.The memmory is a bit too much and i don`t think that you`ll ever have a practiacal use for it but for the GPU i think you`re right on.Cause GPUs , even you beleive it or not , don`t get upgraded so easily. So thumbs up for a fine piece of machinery.

RAM is never too much(as long as the OS supports it)! Although Mechwarrior doesn't really need it (I tried it of course!), other online games experience a huge boost in performance if you run them from a virtual drive in RAM. Done it in Lineage 2 and SWTOR and it is made a big difference. SSD can be an alternative, but large SSD are much more expensive than large RAM.
